What we collect

When you join our waitlist or create an account, we collect your email address. When you use the SoundCatch extension, we process short audio samples from your active browser tab solely to identify songs. We do not store audio recordings.

How we use your data

Your email is used to notify you about SoundCatch updates and launch information. Audio samples are sent to our recognition service, processed in real-time, and immediately discarded after identification.

Third-party services

We use trusted third-party services for email delivery and music recognition. These services receive only the minimum data needed to function. We do not sell, share, or trade your data with advertisers or data brokers.

Browser permissions

SoundCatch requires tab audio capture permission to identify music. We do not access your microphone, browsing history, passwords, or any other personal data beyond what is needed for song recognition.

Data retention

Email addresses are retained until you unsubscribe. Song recognition history (if you use the Pro tier) is stored on your device locally. We do not maintain server-side logs of your listening activity.

Your rights

You can request deletion of your data at any time by emailing [email protected]. We will remove your information within 30 days.

Changes

We may update this policy as the product evolves. Significant changes will be communicated via email.
